Sometimes it can be hard to find all the car dealerships and auto mechanics around you, particularly if you’re new to the area. Bigger metro areas can have hundreds of locations, and it’s often very difficult to find the right one. Despite the advancements of the internet, we still haven’t found a good way to sort through all this information.
recently asked me to take a look at their website and evaluate it…
CarDealershipsDirectory.com (CDD for short) is a website that tries to give you all the resources you need to find the car dealership or auto mechanic you’re looking for. If you browse their home page, you can search for dealerships, body shops, mechanics, and auto parts stores (the links on the left.) Click any of those and it takes you to a page to choose your state, then a page for major locations within the state. It comes up with a list of your requested locations with name, address, and phone number. For example: here is the listing for s.
Hundreds of locations to choose from, and that information is always good to have around.
Here’s what I like about CDD:
It has a ton of information at your fingertips, and lists all of the dealerships, mechanics, body shops, and auto parts stores in your area. This is very valuable to have all in one location, and I’m yet to find another good website that does it.
Here’s what I think could be improved:
The biggest problem with CDD right now is that there is no organizational structure of their information. All of the locations are just listed one after another, and that can be very hard to read and sort through. An interactive map would be very helpful showing their locations, and a way to sort through the results would be helpful as well. I also think the design could use some work. The current design is cluttered, making it hard to get the information you’re looking for right away. The banner is a picture of a race car, but would be better if it had a logo for CDD instead so we know what website we’re on right away. Overall, a better organizational structure and design would be highly beneficial. Adding some interesting articles to read would also help out.
Head over to and take a look around. Come back here and let us know what you think. Do you have any other similar resources to share?
